Jobs for a 14 year old to pay for horse riding lessons?
Posted by: | CommentsI’ve always had some sort of desire to ride horses and they are one of my favourite animals. The thing is, my parents could never afford to pay for them, as I have already have piano and singing lessons. Is there any way I could earn the money to pay for them myself?
Maybe you can make a trade with the stable. Clean stalls in exchange for lessons and riding privileges.

what do you need for first horse riding lessons?
Posted by: | Commentsi am thinking about starting horse riding i am not sure what i need to buy before i go to my first lessons! help!
Comfortable durable casual clothing. Hold off on purchasing specific equipment until you get past your first lesson.
Most facilities have a helmet and other equipment for a beginner. Make certain that you have enough interest before committing serious funds.

It sounds like you really have a passion for horses. Is there any way you could trade work for lessons so your parents don’t have to pay for them? Maybe muck out stables or feed the horses. As much as you love horses, it would be more of a labor of love for you and you’d get to spend much more time around them. Also, if you’d like to work with horses, tell your parents that. Tell them you want to pursue a career in equine care. Even if you don’t have a horse of your own, being around them and having riding lessons would be great experience for you.
I am getting ready to get horse lessons Question.?
Posted by: | CommentsWell sat my friend is going to give me lessons. And I have taken care of horses before so I think I will advance quickly. I was wondering what type of riding I should start off on? My friend says that I should start off on English to learn how to balance. And by the time summer comes do you think I should lease a horse over the summer? And what type of horse should I look at for a beginning rider?
English definitely takes much more agility, balance and "thinking." It looks very elegant and I took many lesssons but never was really coordinated enough. Western is much easier. I would DEFINITELY start was a Quarter Horse. They are the gentlest of breeds and many people have their small kids start out on them rather than even a pony. Stay away from Arabians, much too spirited. Other breeds like Morgans, Thoroughbreds, and Hunter-Jumper breeds are better for experienced riders. That’s another question, are you interested in getting a horse and possibly showing one day or more interested in just the fun of riding and maybe trail riding? If you are interested in just riding for fun, STICK WITH WESTERN! Good luck. I made the mistake of getting a very aggressive Arab for my first horse and it was a horror story. I am still fearful of all horses now. I got it ’cause it was preety and not ’cause it was the horse for me.
Around how much are horse ridding lessons?
Posted by: | CommentsI am about to get a horse and i am wanting to ride.Around how much do you think lessons are?
It depends on the stable, but I’ve had lessons between $20-25 for about an hour and a half of riding. If you have your own horse, maybe they’ll give you a discount!

How much do horse riding lessons cost?
Posted by: | CommentsI live in Aberdeen, Maryland. I’m 14(if that matters). I would like to start riding/taking lessons. I would be using a horse owned by the stables. And taking a one hour(around there) lesson per week.
somerimes you will be charged more for using one of their horses, but sometimes it is included. if there is goin to be a charge it will generally be around $15. and if you are taking a group lesson you can probably find somewhere as inexpensive as $35/hour. A private lesson will be more along the lines of $50+. When first starting out i would actually reccomend a group lesson because you get to watch other people ride and see what mistakes they are making to learn from as well as give you a resting period if you get tired. You can also meet new people!
