how much should horse lessons cost?
Posted by: | Commentsme and my friend are wanting to give Horse Lessons for a summer job but we dont know how much we should price the lessons? what should we do or what is the normal cost? now get that we are very experienced with horses and we know alot about them and we are both barrel racers!
where determines ur costs and price asked.
call other riding trainers in towns 50 miles away.
At what point in lessons will they teach you to saddle up your lesson horse??
Posted by: | CommentsAnd learn how to brush the horse and care for it?? Just a general timeline.
In all of my experience, from child to adult- with 25 years out of horses in between, I have ALWAYS been taught to retrieve groom and saddle and bridle the horse I am to lesson on. Even the little kids that lesson at the stable where I board my horse learn all of this first then have their lessons. I don’t believe that this time counts towards your lesson time. Ask your trainer if you can come early and learn to do all of this. Good luck!
should Iease a horse and so lessons on it?
Posted by: | CommentsI’ve seen some lease options that include some private lessons within the lease agreement, I would like to see how owning a horse financially would go, I’ve worked with horses already, but I have never trained them, or owned one just cleaned, can cared for them.
private lessons within the lease agreement is a great deal. If you have only cared for horses before, i would suggest taking lessons for a few months before you start leasing. Some times when you lease a horse and you go out to ride it, the trainer might not be there to make sure nothing happens. Take some lessons then ask your trainer if he/she thinks your ready for leasing. good luck!
How much are Horse Riding Lessons?
Posted by: | CommentsI would really like to learn to ride and there are no websites for the riding schools in my area (East London). What are the average prices for a one hour lesson? Or am i better off buying myself a horse and learning that way?
You are better off taking lessons at a British Horse Society approved school first to find out if you even like riding and to also learn what it takes to ride and keep a horse. Here is a complete list of approved schools in London

How do i raise 150 dollars in like a week for horse backriding lessons.?
Posted by: | CommentsHow do i raise 150 dollars in like a week for horse backriding lessons. my mom cant afford them. I went yesterday it was GREAT!! but.. it was a free lesson. What do i do!!! Please, please help i really want to take them.
How old are you? Can you babysit, dog walk,help- a -mom- at -home with her work, water plants,go shopping, unload groceries??? Make a flyer of all the things you can do..give "corporation" a name" e.g. Help-at-home. does someone have an elderly relative that they might hire you for "reading and visiting"?
Pass out your flyer at church, at the Y, up and down your block.(I’d stay off the net when offering inhome services.)
Visit church/temple/pastors and explain what you want to do. ASK FOR HELP,including THEIR ideas. It’s called networking and getting in the habit will serve you well in the future. Figure out a fair price and offer "introductory" rates. (e.g 3 hours, get 4th free)
PS why in one week?
Farrier lessons for hackney horse William 1
Posted by: | Comments
After 2 months, the fear for a farrier is still very there. Little doubt, that severe abuse and extreme forced handling must be the reason.
For myself, picking up and cleaning all his feet and hammering on an iron on his front feet is no longer a problem.
Already the noises of the farrier, the sound of the gasoven for heating up the irons etc. made it difficult to get him out of his safe stable. With good words and a carrot, I managed :).
A very helpfull young, but quiet and experienced farrier, and a 23 year old pony
come in handy.
So just tying him to the wall, and let him experience the farrier without bad things happening to himself, might prove the best cure in the end.

How much will I learn in 4 horse lessons?
Posted by: | CommentsI already learned how to walk and trot… 5 years ago.
Again, there is no way to assess it.
Some people are naturals, while others take longer.
You should stop rushing, because the first few lessons will be slow. You may not even trot for the first month.
You should be in horse riding for the long term, because no matter what you do, there is always more to learn. And since you are going to a larger barn, you may not learn as much because you will be in group lessons.
