Oh no. Might you have fallen prey to a popular misconception regarding heavy draft horses? The “very big layer of fat” that you mentioned is actually heavy muscling, or so I’ve been told. But I do agree. This filly does seem to be underweight. Might she have had a hormonal imbalance? That could explain the crazy growth. Might a hormonal imbalance trigger metabolic problems, too? I’d like to learn more about her.
